DAVEY O. and his songs are Buffalo, NY.  They are your hometown.  Songs born from a work ethic instilled by a factory working father; steeped in time, then written like a conversation with your next door neighbor and as comfortable as a well-worn pair of shoes.  These are the stories of American life.  Songs of labor, love, laughter, sorrow, life and death, baptized in waters drawn from a deep and timeless well.
Equal parts songwriter and storyteller, Buffalo’s Davey O. has been recognized on a national level for his past two CD releases with multiple honors among the “best of“ lists of several Folk & Roots radio stations, and as a 2013 New Folk Finalist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival. Davey has also earned the respect of his peers for his incredible work ethic, performing an average of 120 dates per year, and for his constant dedication to the art of song craft.  With a journalist’s eye for detail and poet’s ear for the well-turned observation, Davey O. finds the universal in the particular, turning day-to-day minutiae into dusty paeans to the indomitability of the human spirit.  With each tale another slice of life examined.

SARA ELIZABETH is an indie singer/songwriter, musician, storyteller, and multi-instrumentalist based in Western New York. Sara picked up her first guitar on her ninth birthday, at which point she began 8 years of classical and jazz training before turning to songwriting full time. She has since added ukulele, piano, banjo, and mandolin to her repertoire to help support her alto vocals, and is also a 2012 graduate of the University at Buffalo’s Department of Music. Often backing Sara Elizabeth is the talented bassist and fellow UB alumni Tom Varco, as well as a variety of talented percussionists. Sara Elizabeth’s musical influences range from The Beatles, to Ingrid Michaelson and The Avett Brothers, to P!NK. According to Sara, she takes “the heart of folk music, the soul of the blues, the brain of classical, and the energy of modern indie rock and uses them to tell stories no one has ever heard before.

SAVANNAH KING began her musical pursuit at an early age and discovered her gift of storytelling through songs – songs whose lyrics have been described as deep and well beyond her years.  By honing her live sound, Savannah King brings her independent alternative folk sound at its very best to every performance. In addition to headlining her own shows, Savannah King has opened the show for many artists such as Emmylou Harris, 10,000 Maniacs, Harpeth Rising, Sera Cahoone, Field Report, and award-winning Canadian country music singer-songwriter Ryan Cook, as well as performing with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Savannah King has released three EP’s of all original music: Throwing Stones (2010), She Sends Her Love (2012) **, and The Acoustic Collection (2013). All are available on iTunes, Amazon, and through SavannahKingMusic.com. Although Savannah King started her career as a solo acoustic act, she now enjoys performing with her band – Mark Bamann (lead guitar), Loren Metzger (drums), and Scott Gergelis (bass). The band’s first full length studio album “Bold & Unsteady“, was released in April 2015. The album was met with glowing reviews from critics.

Check out Savannah King playing for the Buffalo Music Cooperative in Asbury Hall at Babeville (to watch her performance jump to 2:33 or just watch the whole thing).

Tom Stahl, Buffalo singer/songwriter and head of the multi-award winning original folk rock band Tom Stahl and the Dangerfields, performs a special solo set.
