Austin, TX indie-folk songwriter splits the difference between tradition and irreverence with his soulful, literary acoustic-leaning songs.  His third LP is due out in early 2015 on Lightning Rod records, but there hasn’t been much time for rest as the past few years has seen him play over 400 shows.  He has certainly gathered his fair share of the the requisite Dylan comparisons but newer material has showed the impact of more contemporary influences like Josh Ritter, Ryan Adams and M. Ward.

Opening the show, Nashville singer-songwriter Andrew Combs’, whose sophomore album, All These Dreams, marks a huge step forward. Using his gifts for lyricism and wry observation, Combs weaves tales of love, sin and redemption, in a style that brings together classic country and contemporary pop. On this album, Combs continues to carve out his own singular path as an artist, reaching the heights of his Texas songwriting heroes.
